4th of July!

We had a great 4th of July! We started out by having a breakfast at the parade with the Hatch family! We then went and had a bbq along with swimming which is always fun! Later in the evening we lit some of our own fireworks at our yearly Cold-e-Sac of Fire party! It was a lot of fun!

Summer at home!

We have been lucky to spend the summer at home in Utah! Trevan got accepted to do some research for BYU with some of the top scholors and present it at a symposium! He was very busy, but it paid off when he presented his research and did an awsome job!

Hot-Dog Hot-Dog Hot-Diggity-Dog!

Are anybody else's children obsessed with Micky Mouse and the song Hot-Dog? Everytime Kaleigh hears the song, she immediatly drops whatever it is she is doing, runs in and starts dancing her little heart away! It is so funny to watch. I get worried she is going to hypervenilate! (Sometimes she is a little more wild than this, but this is the best we have gotten on camera so far!)

Loads of Fun! (Week 4)

We got to go golfing with Derrick and Ashley! We are starting Kaleigh early in hopes that she will love to golf as much as we do! We might be in luck since she loves playing with the golf clubs and balls and riding in the cart!

Loads of Fun! (Week 3)

D.C
National Aquarium! Smithsonians!

We had so much fun with my parents! We went to Washington D.C a few times and saw many of the amazing Smithsonian Museums! (The Natural History Museum was my favorite by far!) We also went to Philly, Fort McHenry, the National Aquarium and many more things!

Loads of Fun! (Week 2)

Congratulations Derrick and Ashley!

These three are available!

I flew home to Utah to see my brother Derrick, get married to Ashley! We are so excited to have another sister-in-law in the family! We spent most of the vacation being sick, but the days we felt good were super fun! It was fun to see all of our good friends and family at the wedding.

Loads of Fun! (Week 1)

Statue of Liberty!
Some of Kal's friends!

Trev's sister Brittney and her husband Justin, Grandmom and Grandad, Dad, me, Trev and Kal!

Liberty Bell!

Some of Trevan's family came out to visit us and to watch his sister Sharlie, sing with her high school choir at Carnegie Hall. (spelling?) We got to go to Gettysberg with them, to Philly to see many of Grandmom and Grandads mission friends and to N.Y.C! It was so much fun!

My good friend, Katie, took some fun pictures of Kaleigh for me. Didn't she do a great job! The two times that Kaleigh has had photo shoots, she has been horrible. However, we were lucky enough to get a few cute ones!

Vacation to Canada!

Niagra Falls!

Sacred Grove!

Hill Cumorah!

We just got back from a little vacation to Canada! We drove to Hamilton Ontario Canada because Trevan had some interviews at Mcmaster University to see if he would be interested in going there for his Phd in a year. We had a great time stopping all along the way at the church history sites and Niagra Falls. Too bad it is not the most beautiful and warm time of the year, however we still had a great time! Here are a few pictures.

It's that time of year again!

I am absolutely obsessed with Cadbury Mini Eggs! Once I start eating them, I simply can not stop. The only reason I stop is because the stores run out and no longer sale them. Well, it seems that Kaleigh is the same way. She loves them too. She knows where I put them and is always trying to get to them. Like mother, like daughter uh? If you have never tried them before, I highly recommend them! Just remember that once you start... you can't stop!

Help me out Cookers!

My sweet husband was one HUGE sweetheart on Valentines Day! He surprised me with a VERY-LONG-TIME wanted KitchenAid! We didn't get anything for Christmas, and he decided to take a little of our tax returns and purchase this for me! However... I have a good friend that has had some problems with her KitchenAid, which brought me to the computer to research about them. It seems that many people have problems with theirs going out on them, but of course there were more people saying good stuff rather than bad about them. Luckily, KitchenAid is good about exchanging them. It is nice that they will exchange for me, but do I even want to go there? So... I started reading about the Bosch Mixer. It seems to be good as well. I just don't know enough about either of them and need some help deciding! Any suggestions?

Happy Birthday Kaleigh Girl!

So.... Good thing that I have a few more years of practice on making cute B-Day cakes before she cares too much. I think I tried to cook it, cool it down and transfer onto a plate before the cake was ready. I ended up destroying it. Luckily the frosting helped it look a little better!

Kaleigh is a good sport! She walked right to her cake on the ground and dug right in! I am afraid she ate too much of it though, because she threw-up after! O-Well, it was worth the fun she had playing in it!

Nice and Clean again!

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY KALEIGH!
I can not believe that our little girl is already a year old. Time goes by way too fast! Some of the highlights of Kaleigh when looking back on her first year are...
1- Her little tongue. It is rarely inside her mouth, but rather, always moving around outside her mouth!
2- Crawling. She is the most dramatic little crawler! She puts her head down, swings her arms really high and slams them to the ground each time and charges to her destination! So funny!
3-Her smile. Kaleigh has the biggest smile! It takes up her whole face. We love it so much and are so glad it happens often! My family started saying "SUPER HAPPY" to her and she would smile huge and bend her head over. So funny!
4- Walking! This was probably one of the funnest things to see! Kaleigh started taking steps about a month ago, and is now unstoppable. Don't you think babies are so cute right when they start walking? The legs go side to side rather than in front of them! Trev loves chasing her and making her try to go faster than her legs can take her! She loves it too.
5- Of course.... TALKING! Kaleigh is starting to talk so much! Her favorite words are Cheerio, Hi (to everyone!), nigh-night, bathy, dog, I-love-you, and calling her mom "meg" rather than mom. She is even starting to say the animal sounds! We are having so much fun teaching her, and it is so rewarding when they start understanding!
The only thing that has not been fun is... trying to get her to take a sippy cup rather than a bottle! Any suggestions?

Utah Fun!

We love Utah! We had so much fun in Utah over the Holidays! When we got there we had a huge list of things we wanted to do and people we wanted to hang out with. We thought a month was plenty of time, but it seemed like we were busy the whole time and were trying to juggle our schedules to be able to do everything!
Some of the highlights were... family parties, BYU games, snowmobiling, (watching my niece Torrie, roll her dads machine down a HUGE mountain and then trying to figure out how to tell him about it) Kaleigh and her best friend Jake (the dog), Kaleigh's first steps, Kaleigh's being sick probably half the trip (got sick again the night before we were suppose to fly home, so I had to cancel my flight and wait a few more days)
and hanging out with all our friends!

Merry Christmas!

I know, I know, I know... I am super late for our Christmas pictures.
But... Better Late Than Never! Right?
We had a lot of fun in Utah spending our Holidays with our family and friends! It was fun having our first Christmas with Kaleigh. (Even though she didn't seem to care too much about any of the gifts!) We better enjoy the time we have of not having to buy her anything, because I am sure it will be a little different in the next year or two.
We went to see Santa in Baltimore at a mall and I was surprised that Kaleigh didn't seem to mind him at all. She just stared at him. (Probably didn't know what else to do). She must take after her father in bravery, because her mother was the BIGGEST cry baby when it came to Santa Clause. (I am embarrassed to admit that it was not just when I was young like her, but probably until I was about 10 years old. My family still talks about how everytime I would see him I would immediatly start to cry and seek for a good hiding place!) He just makes me nervous for some reason.
