Happy Halloween!

We had a great Halloween! (Probably my last one of not having to go trick-or-treating). We had a little dress up party for play group, but Kaleigh was not about to let me put her pirate costume on her. Every time she see's it, she runs and if I get it close to her she freaks out. Hopefully we have better luck with the costume thing next year!

Quick trip home...

I just returned from a quick trip to Utah where I attended the funeral services of my cousin Stephanie Johnson. (Center) She passed away in an automobile accident in Logan, Utah. She was a sweet person and will be missed by many. These are the times that we are so thankful for our knowledge of the gospel and knowing that we can all be together again someday.
Coloring on Grandparents front porch with cousins and uncles!

Watching BYU get creamed by TCU. (Ouch!)

#2

We are going to have another baby!!!
We are so, so, so excited too! (Not sure how excited Kaleigh is going to be, but we sure are!) I am only about two months along, so have a long 7 months ahead of me! Luckily I have not been sick yet. I was super super sick with Kaleigh, but I have heard that each pregnancy gets better and easier. Is this true? I think maybe instead of my body being affected by pregnancy it is my brain. So far I have.... tried to put the milk away in the microwave instead of the fridge, dumped the left-overs in the lid of the tubaware rather than the container part, and worst of all... the other day I waited for Kaleigh to go down for her nap leaving her home with Trevan studying and I drove to Wal-Mart to get all my groceries and a few other things. I got there and quicky got everything I needed. I got up in line to check out. When I went to pull my wallet out I realized I had forgotten to get it out of the diaper bag at home. HATE when this happens. Well, I disappointedly left to head for home. On my way home I passed the market and decided to go get some blueberries. Well, luckily they were closed and I didn't have to go inside to embarrass myself again. (Still not having my wallet.) So, I head for home again and notice the Rite-Aid. I so smartly thought I would stop there and get some diapers for Kaleigh so I wouldn't have to go all the way back to Wal-Mart that same day. I pick out the diapers I want, get up to the register only to realize I STILL didn't have my wallet. Who does this? Is it true that your brain goes crazy while your pregnant?
Hopefully I survive this next 7 months and still have any brain at all!

Children can be so funny!

What do you think? Do children like olives because they taste good, or because they are so much fun? Kaleigh would eat olives all day long if I would let her!

Rocks and Dirt! Why is it more fun to play in the rocks and dirt than it is to play with a goat? I thought Kaleigh would love playing with the goats at the zoo, but she could care less about them. The only time she showed any interest was when she tried to bathe them in the dirt! I guess it is true when you hear that your children will like the things you would never think of them liking!

The Zoo!

Last week, my good friend Katie asked us if we wanted to go the zoo with her and her son Carson! We had so much fun seeing all the animals. We talk about the animals all the time now, especially the Zebra's (Zareebra's!) Kaleigh and Carson also got to ride on the carousel before we left. They both loved it! Can't wait until next time!

The two Philly's!

Trevan went to Canada a few weeks ago and he dropped Kaleigh and I off in Philadelphia to spend a few days with Derrick and Ashley before they moved back to Utah! We had tons of fun swimming, going out to eat, movies and ice cream, talking and shopping on Market Street which brings us to our 2nd Philly........
Our First Family Pet!

Derrick bought a turtle on Market St. for Kaleigh! We named him Philly! Kal loves her little turtle and has had a lot of fun with him!

Trev's First Book Signing!

Trevan had his first book signing in Utah! (He had his second one a few weeks later!) We went to visit him and look who else showed up! That's right... Elmo! Kaleigh was in heaven. We ask her what the elmo song is and she starts singing "La La La La". Anyway, she gave him hugs and kisses and would not let him out of her sight the whole time.
For those of you who have not yet gotten Trev's book... I highly recommend you do! It is really an excellent book and will keep your attention. You will learn so much from it! It is available at Seagull Book, Deseret Book, Amazon and Granite Publishing! You will not be sorry if you get it!

4th of July!

We had a great 4th of July! We started out by having a breakfast at the parade with the Hatch family! We then went and had a bbq along with swimming which is always fun! Later in the evening we lit some of our own fireworks at our yearly Cold-e-Sac of Fire party! It was a lot of fun!

Summer at home!

We have been lucky to spend the summer at home in Utah! Trevan got accepted to do some research for BYU with some of the top scholors and present it at a symposium! He was very busy, but it paid off when he presented his research and did an awsome job!
